New MS gun rules

A press release is supposed to go out today.

The main changes are:

- Ramping only from 8 til 15
- No more than one shot after last trigger activation
- Players are not allowed to operate switches/buttons on the gun without a refs permission
- Players are not allowed to operate switches/buttons on the loader without a refs permission
- Shots stored for only 100ms and cancelled by next trigger activation
- Same testing methods as at the previous two events.

Personally I think it SUCKS, that the MS come out with this rulechange 1 week before teams leave for the event.

Rulechanges should not be made with shorter notice than 1 month - everything else is screwing the players over in my honest oppinion!

So tech heads...I'm right in thinking our boards can't comply with this so were stuck on semi only?

thats correct ed we have to play on semi or get new boards
i have been chatting to the maker of our boards and he said he will be releasing an upgrade soon which will allow us to set the ramp

We must play on semi at Paris and wait a new upgrade for our Tadao.

There is an update for the M3 (DM5 version) availabe which gives variable ramp start options. As the boards your using in your timmies are made by Tadao there will probably be an update in due course.

We wont need a new board, just a new chip. I like the same testing method, that means none of this slow pull trigger bounce BS. Agreed this week and a half before the event stuff is nonsense.

my email from will at tadao

Bevan,

The Infamous boards will eventually get the M5 update, which has some of those features.  Millennium is now using PSP rules.

Sweet. Thanks Bev

If the testing procedure is the same as Dam, as stated by Millennium, does that mean they wont be checking when the ramp kicks in? Prob not worth the risk but may be an option if its like the 2 previous tourneys where they just don't care if the ramping rules are followed and everyone else is doing it.
