Paintball field for saturday/sunday training sessions By: IL-Olly Date: November 19, 2007, 01:27:33 pm
Hi All,

As previously discussed with members of the team, and general talk, more and more people are finding the TPC trainings fairly useless. The field, by several of its aspects, does not allow us to properly train.

What had come out of our informal assembly a month or so ago was that most would rather have two good training sessions on a proper field a month that prioritize TPC. I agree that TPC is always an occasion to play paint, and eventually, our sessions over there can be kept for the weeks we didn't previously have a training on a proper field.

As for the field to choose, I have started looking around on the internet to try and find suitable venues. Here is a short list of the mandatory/optional characteristics I think the field should have :

- Regular size speedball field.
- Convenient for people relying on public transport.
- Having other teams show up with whom we could train.
- Good bunkers.
- Turf.
- Air.

The first step is probably to get a detailed list of all possible venues in the London area. Please feel free to comment or suggest anything as this will be the best way to ensure we find the most suitable field.

Olly.

Dude, there aren't that many places we can go, basically the closest is mayhem in essex and as far as i know you cant get there via public transport. Others are even worse to get to. Unless we are prepared to travel, and i do mean travel, there aren't many options.

Point taken. Who has cars (apart from the poor miller always giving us a hyke) ? Campaign is fairly accessible via train, but a bit far, and their speedball field might not be the best one, but it's ok.

Campaign is great for me, even better for Andy and Bev, but i think it would be a mission for the rest of the people. I guess there's only one way to find out and that to go to all these fields and see which one we find best for our needs.

we've also trained at bricketwood and dartford. Both are a mission to get to without a car or a long commute via train and cab. Both both are ok. Bricketwood also has Storm who play there and are good for a game every now and then
