Stiffi Awards First UK Sponsorship to Iron Lions London By: IL-Axel Date: May 04, 2006, 10:49:36 am
AM Paintball Marketing is proud to announce a sponsorship deal between the Iron Lions London Paintball Team and Site Inc, the maker of Stiffi carbon fibre barrels. The deal will have the team using Stiffi barrels, Switch kits and Stif-Tips exclusively for 2006 and represents the company’s first sponsorship of a UK team.

"These barrels weigh next to nothing and their accuracy and ability to shoot through the occasional break is remarkable," said Team Captain and Front Player, Bevan Kling. "They should be the first purchase for anyone who wants to drop weight off their gun, plus they look great. I like the standard black and grey but the Mamba offers different colours and the new Stif-Stiks feature different custom patterns like leopard print."

The Iron Lions roster is made up of two dedicated squads. One participates in the UK's Eclipse Paintball Association National League and premiere international events, while the second squad plays in the UK Masters 5 Man Series and selected Centurio EEPL events in Europe.

The barrels and barrel kits are available through authorised UK Stiffi dealer, AM Paintball Marketing’s website, www.ampaintball.co. uk. AMPM owner Mark Du Plessis represented the team during negotiations and from the outset sought to get both squads included. "I know Stiffi is the lightest, most advanced barrel on the market and I want to see both squads in the top of their respective leagues. These barrels will help them get there."

The Redding, California-based, Site Inc. brings over 25 years of experience working in the field of advanced composites to the sport of paintball. Site utilizes technologically advanced structural materials, fabrication, and design to create the famously accurate and lightweight carbon fibre Stiffi paintball barrel. Precision made and weighing only 1.7 ounces, Stiffi barrels provide unequalled stiffness and accuracy and feature the proprietary MicroJeweled bore.

The Iron Lions London Paintball Team shoots Chronic 420 paintballs through their Eclipse Egos from Phoenix Paintball UK. Other sponsors include brighterComputing.c om and The Paintball Centre in London’s Canary Wharf.
