Hi Dan, we train at The Paintball Centre which is a 10 minute walk fron Canary Wharf Tube.

For equipment, if you don't have any we can arrange for you to borrow some from the site while you decide if it's something you want to carry on with and invest in your own. Although you may want to invest in your own mask as you can use this for tournie or just rec-ball if you end up not joining.

In terms of costs, we  typically run a period of 8 training events to allow us to evaluate new recruits and give them a chance to get to know us before offering a spot on the team.

Non Member Costs for training are: £15 Walkon and £5-£10 for paint. If you are hiring kit from the site it is an extra £5.

Once a member you no longer have to pay walk on fees and would presumably have got your own kit so you would now on you would only be expecting to pay £5-10 per training session to cover paint.

These below sponsor us and would be a great place to get yourself a mask.

The £5 covers using a site gun, boiler suit if needed and mask. We will of course be happy to let you try our markers so you can see what you would like for yourself. For the clothing you can just wear trackie bottoms a top. I have a couple of jerseys I never use if you want one. £5 each.

At the bottom end of the scale for tournament markers in price terms you could pick up an newION for about £200. If you can afford a bit more there are a few Intimidators on sale in the team as a few of us are moving to EGO's due to a new sponsorhip deal. You can probably sell you one for £300-350. These  are top end markers and we have a few experts on the team that can help with tech support.

What I do not advise is buying a lower end marker now and needing to change it in 6 months as you realise you need something better to be competitive. With resale values that first one you bought will be money down the drain. Better to invest a bit more at the start.

Yes, by the time you have progressed to the stage of entering tournaments it is assumed you would have your own kit. Taking the leap of investing in your own kit is one of the signals that is looked for in new players as it generally tends to show you are taking it seriously and want to stay around.

For the earlier training sessions we understand people may not have their kit as this is the time when they are deciding if it's the sport for them.
