Quick Question! By: Pm5KiD Date: August 01, 2006, 01:21:30 pm
Do you guys have any other training times for more of the younger squads if there are any, becuase 7.30-9.30 is a tight squeeze for me and wont be home till like 11.

Thanks

We don't have a younger squad at the moment. Alternative training times are difficult as the majority of the team work during the day, and weekends are often needed for tournaments etc

Some of the guys do leave a little earlier if another commitment requires it, so if you need to leave early then this can be accomodated.

Where would need to travel to?

Do you have any other questions?

Ok... so if you're coming down on Monday, people arrive from about 18:30. This allows enough time to change and get their markers ready

Training is usually a combination of drills and short games to develop key skills

Where we train (TPC) needs the space for the general public who come and play, as the weekends are the most convenient for rec'ballers

Therefore we'd have to train elsewhere, like Dartford.

Most of the team need to travel to train at TPC, and living in Barnet, you are closer than some of them!

How old are you then?

We don't train on saturdays because we play at least 2 tournaments per month, the majority of which involve travelling on saturdays.  That would mean we'd be training every other monday anyway, and a number of the squad have weekend jobs too.  The site we train at also has punters in at the weeked so we wouldn't be able to train even if we wanted to.

Totally understand, and your parents might not want you travelling home that late

You should also consider that to regularly play, paintball is an expensive sport. Playing a tournament each month, plus training costs need to be considered

Have you ever played tournament paintball before?

Re: Quick Question! By: IL-Alex Date: August 01, 2006, 03:54:23 pm
As a non squad member you'll have to pay a walkon fee of £15

Then we split the paint between all people at training...

Last night paint per person was £7

So £30 should be fine.

I'm guessing you've got a marker ( a pm5    ) and playing gear, so bring that as well
